Heather A. Gilkey is the managing attorney and shareholder of Brown Gilkey & Associates, PC, a general practice law firm located in East Lansing, Michigan. Heather joined the firm in August, 2000 and concentrates her legal practice on Estate Planning, Real Estate Development, Business Formation and Planning, Landlord Tenant matters and is expanding her practice areas to include Adoption and Bankruptcy.
Heather was part of The Christman Company’s elite legal team and has worked on several rehabilitation projects for the construction company, including the rehabilitation of the Ottawa Station power plant in Lansing which will be the site of the Accident Fund Insurance Company of America’s new world headquarters.
Heather’s real estate practice includes the successful sale of several golf courses. A few of her golf course clients include: Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing and Oak Lane Golf Course in Webberville.
Heather earned her Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law in East Lansing in 2000 and earned her undergraduate degree from Madonna University in Livonia in 1995 where she graduated with high academic honors.
Heather is involved in numerous community organizations and is currently serving her second term on the board of directors for Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing, Michigan. She is a member of the Junior League of Lansing and has served as the President and Treasurer of the Women Lawyers Association of Mid Michigan. She is also a member of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce and WIN (Working In Collaboration for Women).
